Star Wars: A fourth female TV series, in development at Disney +
The early renewal of The Mandalorian for a third season may be just one of the surprises that Disney + has in store for the upcoming Star Wars Day. According to Variety , the streaming video service is collaborating with the co-creator and showrunner by Russian Doll Leslye Headland to the development of a fourth live-action series set in the Star Wars universe .
The details of the project are clearly kept under lock and key. The sources say, however, that unlike the three adaptations ordered so far, this time the story will revolve around one or more female characters and will be set in a different place in the Star Wars timeline compared to the latter. Recall that The Mandalorian follows the adventures of a bounty hunter on the edge of the galaxy in a period ranging from the fall of the Empire to the appearance of the First Order (between The Return of the Jedi and The Awakening of the Force). Ewan McGregor will reprise the role of Obi-Wan Kenobi in a prequel series in which, apparently, a young Luke Skywalker and an equally young Leia will be under his wing. We will also see Diego Luna and his Rogue One: A Star Wars Story Cassian Andor face the formative years of the Rebellion in a tight galaxy in the grip of a ruthless empire.
