Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark: the sequel is in preparation

Two of the writers and director André Øvredal already working on Scary Stories to Tell in The Dark 2, with many other stories to draw on.

Produced by Guillermo del Toro , the children's horror film Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark - released in our cinemas last October 24 - has grossed 105 million dollars worldwide. A discreet result, so much so that a sequel is already being prepared, always directed by the Norwegian director André Øvredal and written by two screenwriters of the first, Dan Hageman and Kevin Hageman .

The first film was produced by eOne and CBS Films, later absorbed by Paramount's Viacom , where the second film transposition is being prepared from Alvin Schwartz's anthologies of short stories , which can provide material for at least a dozen films, given that the volumes are three and each contain from 25 to 29 stories, in some cases very short, and which therefore require a fair amount of screenplay.

Hageman worked on The Lego Movie and The Lego Ninjago Movie and with del Toro for the animated series of Netflix Trollhunters: Tales of Arcadia . In great demand, they recently signed the contract to adapt the eighties video game Dragon's Lair for Ryan Reynolds and Netflix.
